No, in the State of Kansas you are not required to have one to shoot on controlled shooting area.

All hunters are required to have a valid Kansas hunting license or, we can provide a controlled shooting area license. You can purchase either one at our pro shop when you visit us for your hunt.

For pheasant hunting we recommend using 6 or 5 shot.

For quail and chukar hunting we recommend using 8 or 7 1/2 shot.

Bring twice as many shells as you think you need because you will be shooting a lot!
